Vectorworks Tools

Versions of our tools have been part of Vectorworks Spotlight since 2010, continuing through the newest release, Spotlight 2027®. That said, the Landru Design versions so many users depend on are still very much alive, and still offer real advantages:

• Run in any Vectorworks package, version 2023® or newer, including 2027.
• Spotlight® and Designer® are not required.
• Faster turnaround on fixes and future updates.
• Ongoing feature additions as each tool continues to evolve.

Every tool in our library is built around the same core principles, so once you know one, you know them all:

• Adjust configurations, settings, and dimensions on the fly through Vectorworks'® familiar Object Info Palette®.
• Every tool generates Hybrid (2D/3D) models.
• Display embedded text elements noting settings and details, with independent control over visibility, color, size, and alignment.
• Assign parts to separate Vectorworks® Classes, so you can take full advantage of Saved Views and graphic attributes.
• Renderworks® Textures are automatically applied to 3D geometry, with custom texture options available on select tools.

Our video tools share an additional set of features designed specifically for screen and display work:

• The VideoScreen 4 Image Picker makes it easy to choose and adjust screen content, no texture-mapping hassle required.
• VideoScreen 4 includes a library of stock projector, stand, and television symbols, easy to manage alongside your own custom symbols.
• The Coverage Zone feature is a simple but powerful analysis tool for sizing and placing screens and displays with precision.
